What’s Clean Wine?

Have you ever considered what goes into making wine? In theory, the only ingredients of wine should be grapes and yeast which converts the sugar from grapes into alcohol. All wines, in reality, contain a few more ingredients than that.  In fact, according to the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, there are 62 chemical materials that can legally be added to a wine, none of which, needs to be accounted for on the label. Many wine producers rely on pesticides, chemical additives, and sugars which yields a product that tastes the same, bottle after bottle, year after year. Sadly, since all the ingredients are not listed, we really don’t know what we are putting into our bodies when we cheer to our health!

This is why I joined Scout & Cellar as many of us enjoy healthy eating and drinking.

Scout & Cellar is the only wine club that curates and delivers clean-crafted wines sourced from all over the world by a sommelier right to your front door. I’m thrilled to share these tasty clean wines with those I care about.

Give it a try, especially if you tend to be more mindful of eating organic, clean, or unprocessed foods and beverages. I was dumbfounded when I found out that many wine producers add sugars, additives, and chemicals to their product, yuck! Now I understand why so many people get wine headaches.

Scout & Cellar wines are grown naturally with NO added chemicals or preservatives, ZERO grams of added sugars, LOW sulfites, and without the use of any synthetic pesticides. Every label added to the menu is lab-tested for strict compliance. As Scout & Cellar wines are sourced from all around the world, their offerings change monthly.  My friend who introduced me to Scout & Cellar no longer experiences headaches after drinking red wine ? and personally, I love knowing that the wine I’m drinking is clean.

How to Order Online

Ordering is easy to do online as each product has a detailed description with pairing suggestions. Visit my website to see the various offerings and experience new wines from around the world while expanding your palate. Supplies can be limited as these are smaller vineyards thus each month the menu changes somewhat. Keep in mind that you receive a 5% discount when purchasing six bottles and 10% by purchasing 12+ bottles.  Shipping is FREE for purchases over $99.  Bottles are reasonably priced between $19 – $45 and your satisfaction is guaranteed.  It’s truly a win-win.

However, if you want, or, ahem, “need” more wine in your life, definitely consider a four bottle tasting set and/or a wine club membership.

Making Health a Priority

“If you put off starting a fitness routine until the time is right, you’ll never reach your fitness goals.” ~ Felicity Luckey

It’s been said that it only takes 30 days to break bad habits and implement new, more positive actions. Today our house embarked on taking a challenge to make healthy choices in regards to eating and exercising.

We headed out to LadyBird Lake to walk 4 miles around the trail. Walking is better than being sedentary. Gradually we plan to add in some running and gym visits.

“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” Jim Rohn

This anti obesity video which has been viewed more than 3 million times in less than a week also inspired me to make a few life changes not only for me but also my daughter.

I realize it’s sometimes difficult to make changes in our lives, especially with busy work and family schedules. As we make our health a priority I hope you too will make your health a priority this fall.
