Day 15 – Thankfulness Journey – Cayley

As I lay in bed talking about what I should write about being thankful for today, Cayley asked, “have you written about me?”  Wanting public recognition is something I think many of us desire but a child has no problem asking for it. 🙂

Actually, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for my precious Cayley. God knew I was no where close to being ready for the empty nest when Caryn and Courtney left home.

Cayley adds so much to our lives, especially joy and noise (joyful noise). I love the melody she makes on her guitar and when she sings I find her voice so refreshing. She is currently playing in a girls band which is so cute. She has crazy little sayings that she and her dad share that is precious.

Curiosity consumes Cayley and her radar ears hone in on the slightest whispers which makes keeping things from her nearly impossible.

I have Cayley to thank for helping me remember names, dates and where my keys are. She is helpful in so many ways especially with my self image as she is always telling me I am not old and I look much better than women younger than me.

I am grateful to watch Cayley embrace life fully.

Cayley, I love you so much.
